Ghanaian Prophet Sets GH₵50 Minimum Offering, Cites Transport Fare Hike
Ghanaian cleric, Prophet John Papa Jesus, has announced a new minimum offering of GH₵50 — equivalent to about 6,000 Naira — for members of his church.
The announcement was made in a video shared on X on Monday, September 28, 2026. In the clip, the prophet said he has increased the church’s offering rate by 20% and will no longer accept offerings below the new threshold.
“I’ve increased the church offering rate to 20%. I will accept only offerings of GH₵50 and above,” he stated.
Justifying the decision, Prophet John Papa linked it to the recent hike in transport fares.
“I’m not the same as Mahama, so I will increase my offering by 20%. Because transport fares have been increased by 8%,” he said.
He maintained that any offering below GH₵50 will not be accepted in his church.
