The controversy surrounding the paternity test of late singer Mohbad’s son has taken a new turn after his father, Joseph Aloba, publicly questioned the handling of the process.
Speaking during a TikTok live session, Baba Mohbad disclosed that he was contacted by a court-appointed officer who asked him to appear alongside his lawyer on Saturday, October 31, 2026, for the collection of samples for the DNA test.
He said he immediately reached out to his legal representative, who objected to the date. According to Aloba, his lawyer found it unusual that such a sensitive exercise would be scheduled for a Saturday instead of a regular workday.
Aloba, who has repeatedly expressed doubts about the process, reiterated his stance that Mohbad was only married for nine months before his death and alleged that there is an attempt to claim the late singer’s properties. He also described the proposed test as potentially compromised.
To ensure credibility, the late singer’s father is now demanding full disclosure from the court. He wants to know the identity and location of the US-based laboratory chosen for the analysis, its technical qualifications, and the profile of the specialist who will handle the samples.
He maintained that the entire procedure must be open and transparent, with no hidden details, and vowed to keep challenging the arrangement until his conditions are met.
Following the objections raised, the court has adjourned the matter to November 16, when a new officer is expected to be assigned to supervise the DNA testing process.
