The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has clarified his personal relationship with Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Mr. Peter Obi.
In an interview with BBC Igbo News, Governor Soludo described Peter Obi as a close friend, noting that their bond extends to their families.
He explained that there is a strong family connection between them, as his daughter’s godmother is Peter Obi’s wife, and vice versa.
Despite this closeness, the Governor emphasized that they differ politically.
Soludo further revealed that ahead of the 2023 elections, he urged Obi to return to APGA to help build and reorganize the party, even if victory was not guaranteed at the time.
