ABUJA — Popular social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has publicly challenged the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan, demanding an official response to recent controversial remarks credited to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
Expressing strong dissatisfaction over what he described as deliberate silence from the electoral body, the activist questioned why election authorities have refrained from addressing the minister’s bold political commentary.
In a video broadcast, VeryDarkMan accused political leaders of taking advantage of the public’s patience, asserting that ordinary Nigerians are being pushed to their limits by political rhetoric and unchecked authority ahead of upcoming political contests.
He called on the INEC leadership to demonstrate neutrality and accountability by openly clarifying the electoral umpire’s stance on political statements that appear to undermine public confidence in the election system.
