Following their recent ordeal in Imo State, twenty prospective National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members may now have the opportunity to choose any of the six South-West states for their primary assignment.
Relatives of the corps members disclosed that substantial sums—reported at ₦6 million per individual—were paid to secure their safe return. However, law enforcement and security authorities maintained that the victims were recovered through coordinated field operations.
The decision to offer flexible posting options aims to provide peace of mind and ensure the well-being of the affected corps members as they prepare to serve.
