A Nigerian man has shared his amazing experience after he mistakenly transferred a huge sum of money to a wrong account.
According to him, he sent N1.8 million to a random OPay account by mistake. Immediately he realized the error, he tried calling the number attached to the account, but the line was switched off. At that point, he said he had already made up his mind that the money was gone.
About 30 minutes later, he decided to try the number again and luckily, the person picked up.
He explained what happened and begged the receiver to refund the money. He even told the stranger to take N100,000 from the money and send back the remaining N1.7 million.
To his greatest surprise, the man returned the entire N1.8 million without removing a single naira.
Overwhelmed by the honesty, the sender said he immediately sent N150,000 back to the man as a token of appreciation for his sincerity.
His story has sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians praising the honest receiver and saying that good people still exist.
