History has been made!
Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms has won the Georgia governor’s race, defeating GOP nominee Rick Jackson, a billionaire healthcare executive.
Bottoms is now set to become the nation’s first Black female governor and Georgia’s first woman to ever lead the state.
The former Atlanta mayor’s win ends more than two decades of Republican control of the office.
