Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has weighed in on the economic situation in Nigeria, asserting that the country’s conditions are not as dire as critics suggest.
Speaking on national development and governance, the iconic movie star emphasized that economic opportunities exist and individual success often depends on effort and timing rather than waiting for turns.
Kosoko specifically pointed to President Bola Tinubu’s key interventions, particularly the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND). He highlighted how the initiative covers tuition fees and provides eligible students with a monthly stipend of approximately ₦20,000, thereby relieving parents of significant financial stress.
Addressing public perception, Kosoko called on students who have benefited from the federal government’s student loan scheme to publicly share their experiences to validate the impact of the policy.
