I Was Funding My Boyfriend’s Lifestyle in School Until I Caught Him Cheating — Nigerian Lady Shares Her Experience

A Nigerian lady has opened up about her painful university relationship.

According to her, she fell in love with a guy who was from a poor home. Her own story was different — her family was comfortable and sent her between N30,000 and N40,000 weekly, while her boyfriend survived on N5,000 a month.

Because she loved him, she became his provider. She cooked for him daily, bought him new outfits and footwear just so he could fit in with her circle, and even let him use her personal laptop.

Everything changed on a night she planned to surprise him. There was electricity in his room but not outside, and because heat was much and there was no fan, residents left their doors open. Right there, she caught her boyfriend with another woman.

She walked away silently without confronting them. But the drama didn’t end there — he showed up at her doorstep the next morning expecting food.

That morning, she confronted him with what she saw and chased him out. Despite his tears and how he begged different people to plead on his behalf, she says she moved on instantly.

She added that what still hurts her the most till today is not even the cheating, but the thought of all the money and care she invested in making him look presentable.
