Nigerian street-hop star Zlatan Ibile has got people talking again after a controversial line in his latest release.
The rapper, who teamed up with Peruzzi and Shoday on a new track titled ‘INFERNO’, was heard saying “I no be Vincent, I no fit soapy” in one of his verses.
Fans were quick to connect the dots, as Vincent is the real first name of popular social media critic VeryDarkMan. Many listeners online are interpreting the line as a shade targeted at the activist.
Zlatan and VeryDarkMan have had a tense history since the death of late singer Mohbad. At the time, VDM had repeatedly called out Zlatan, asking him to come forward with what he knew about the incident.
While a large section of social media believes the lyric is a direct response to that long-standing drama, Zlatan himself is yet to confirm if the line was actually aimed at VDM.
The song is already trending, with fans divided over whether it was just wordplay or a deliberate jab.
