Social commentator Isaac Fayose has taken a swipe at the City Boy Movement over its handling of a recent road accident involving its campaign buses.
Fayose, who is the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, reacted in a viral video that has been making the rounds on social media. In the clip, he faulted what he described as misplaced priorities among political support groups in the country.
According to him, while these movements spare no cost in acquiring branded buses and other campaign logistics for mobilisation, they fail to invest in critical emergency infrastructure.
He said political organisations should be setting aside resources for ambulances and roadside emergency response units, rather than focusing solely on showmanship and publicity.
Fayose noted that such emergency provisions would ensure supporters get immediate medical attention if an accident occurs during political activities, instead of leaving them stranded.
