A prosecution witness has testified in a Lagos court regarding an alleged property lease fraud involving relationship influencer Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popular as Blessing CEO.
During testimony before the Ikeja Special Offences Court, the witness detailed how he remitted over ₦69 million to the social media personality for a five-year lease on a Lekki property. According to the account given in court, the transaction hit a snag when questions arose regarding the actual ownership of the building.
Although Blessing CEO allegedly forwarded documentation to reassure the tenant of her claim to the space, the situation escalated when a third party, identified as Mr. Tom, arrived at the premises alongside police officers and detained site workers.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) subsequently arraigned the influencer on charges bordering on false pretence and financial fraud. Blessing CEO has denied all allegations, pleading not guilty in court.
