Popular social media commentator Daniel Regha has sparked fresh online debate after publicly criticizing VeryDarkMan (VDM) over the allocation of funds for a school development project sponsored by Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy.
Regha questioned reports alleging that roughly ₦50 million out of a ₦250 million project budget was spent on extensive mural paintings around the school premises. Calling the artwork excessive, Regha voiced concern over why prominent portraits of both Burna Boy and VDM were repeatedly painted across the educational facility.
Beyond the artwork, the media critic also raised questions regarding the overall construction standards of the school and called for greater transparency regarding how other public and private donations to the project have been managed.
What are your thoughts on this controversy? Should school projects focus strictly on infrastructure, or do murals add value? Let us know in the comments!
